Description
The CHARGE‑500 is a user‑friendly, rapid onboard smart charger designed to charge your system while on the move. It is simple to install and features automatic voltage detection, ensuring it only operates when the engine is running to prevent vehicle battery drain. The CHARGE‑500 is ideal for road users with onboard power systems that cannot easily be charged from mains or solar, although it can also work in a hybrid setup with solar.
The CHARGE‑500 includes MC4‑type connectors that can be adapted to work with the Sherpa Portable Power Station range via their built‑in MPPT, providing a fast 42V, 500W charge.
The CHARGE‑500 can charge your portable power unit up to five times faster than standard methods. Achieving the same charge rate using solar alone would require one to two square metres of panel area.
